Tracks direct peers heard on local transports.
Typical fields:
- node ID
- egress path ID
- metric
- last seen time
- expiry
- transport capabilities
- security capabilities
- reliability counters
Forwarding Table
Tracks learned route candidates.
Typical fields:
- destination node ID
- next hop node ID
- egress path ID
- metric
- sequence
- expiry
- last updated time
Multiple entries may exist for the same destination.
Preferred Route Table
Tracks forwarding choices selected by policy at send time.
Typical fields:
- destination node ID
- next hop node ID
- egress path ID
- selected time
- hold-down-until time
- in-use flag
Message Cache
Tracks recently seen frames to reduce duplicate processing and rebroadcast loops.
